Fruit flavored Life Savers were introduced in 1924 in Lemon, Lime and Orange. It was not until 1935 that the iconic Five Flavor assortment was created. The Five Flavors remained the same until 2003 when a campaign was launched for fans to vote on the new five flavors. Cherry, Pineapple, Raspberry, Watermelon and Blackberry won, but Blackberry did not last long in the mix – consumers demanded Orange instead.
