My sister and I were in a sloppy joe mood (raining here this weekend in "sunny Orlando" and being Michiganders...we thought instantly of our favorite "misty day" meal = French's Sloppy Joes with Fritos. As I started eating the Ju Ju Coins, the memories of my misspent youth came flooding back-sneaking them into math class, trying desperately not to let Mr. Blackburn see me eating in class. Next I went for the Mexican hats! another flood of memories as this was the first candy shared with a hoped to be girlfriend. (It didn't work out) Next came The Root Beer Barrels- I took them to my office, put them in a tin on my desk-Gone in sixty seconds( ok more like 6 days) but you get the drift. I remember being kids and mom would make that with american cheese and parmasean (sprinkle) cheese. Thank you for the great candy, and making my wife's surprise party a hit!! I just wanted to write and thank you for your help with the Surprise Party I had for my wife. I ended up ordering a decade box from the 70's and a variety of miscellaneous candy from all different periods. We placed them on the tables for the guests to eat and play with. The candy cigarettes were the biggest hit!! Almost everyone had forgotten about them. There were so many people reminiscing about the 70's and 80's it was great. To compliment this I put up movie posters from the same period and had 80's music playing all night. Once again thank you for your help. Your candy definitely made the event much more memorable.

For my parents' 34th wedding anniversary, I bought them a 50's Decade Box. The look on their faces when they opened it was fantastic! I think I made them feel like kids again -- they looked like they'd just been trick-or-treating, and were sorting their loot. They both called dibs on several things, and it was just hilarious. Finally, my dad thought it would be neat to wait and break it out at a dinner party they're having this weekend, knowing their friends would get a kick out of it, too.

Just wanted to send a note about my order that I received a few weeks ago. It was "FANTASTIC"!!! Talk about a walk down memory lane. From the candy to the popcorn every bite was delicious. It reminded me of the days when you would save enough of your allowance to buy some of your favorite chocolate treats. I remember walking to school and stopping in at Thomas' Tea Room, a luncheonette and candy store where I grew up. This is my 4th order with you. (and not the last). I LOVE this website! I was just telling my 17yr old son about the 'penny candy store' that my friends and I used to visit everyday. Wow, did that bring back the memories. I used to pick out my favorite candy and gum for a penny each and the owner would put it in a small brown paper bag, which we used to sneak into class everyday. I placed an order (my one and only so far) many months ago for a box of Yoo-hoo candy bars. I was unable to find them anywhere in Texas, Oklahoma or Louisiana and was delighted as well as surprised to find them available through you good folks. My order arrived promptly and I (and many friends) enjoyed the candy bars like they were newly discovered Chateau Lafitte d'Rothschild vintage hidden in a bombed-out wine cellar in Burgundy since WW2. Now, SOB, I log in to order another box and you tell me that Yoo-hoo candy bars have bitten the dust! I am heart-broken. But I feel lucky to have at least experienced them before they faded into candy history. Thank you for that.

This is great!! Why didn't I think of it?!? I am glad to see that my best friend and myself aren't alone in our walks down memory lane of the things that we always used to enjoy as kids and should never have to do without. One of my favorite childhood memories is of being given a pack of Teaberry gum by a coworker of my Aunt when I would go with my mom and pick them up form work everyday, neither of them drove. I would always save a piece or two just in case she wouldn't be at work one day because I guess that I thought that my day was not complete without a stick of Teaberry gum to top it off!!! I also have similar memories of Chicklets gum, those weren't on your list, were they? as well as Dum Dum suckers. Both of these delectable treats were given out freely by the banks in my hometown. It is amazing how many childhood memories I have that involve gum/candy and I would venture to guess that I am not the only one!?!?

To whom it may concern, I just wanted to send you a little note of thanks. When I ordered the 50s decade box for my father's 60th birthday, I never would have expected the reaction I would get. As I live quite a distance from my parents, it is sometimes difficult to find the perfect gift. When I saw the commercial on the Food Network I thought well maybe that would be nice. But the reaction I received from not only my dad, but the entire family was priceless! My dad opened the package over the phone, he kept saying "oh cool" over and over. My mom was in the background... "oh look," "do you remember these," "oh neat". A couple days latter my dad told me he finally ate some of the candy. So of course I thought, oh I guess he is conserving it, but little did I know where all the candy was going. When I spoke with my older sister, she told me how much she liked all the candy I sent "her" (what a jokester). She told how surprised she was how fresh each candy was, and proceed! ed to go down the list. I said, "Wow, funny how you know all about the freshness". Got a big kick out of that! But, it is good to know that it is not just the novelty, that the quality is also important to your company! Seams the entire family was getting a taste... guess I should of expected it. Great thing about this gift, it is something a group will enjoy! I would definitely purchase your product again... as a matter of fact my father-in-laws 60th is coming up!
