G. Washington, a distant relative of THE George Washington, created this seasoning and spice combination after being served a particularly flavorful dish in New York, circa 1938. One of the first innovators of instant coffee, he thought there would also be a market for a similar instant broth product. Featured at the 1939 World's Fair as the "Soup of Tomorrow", it was initially packed in tin foil, called Aces. Still individually wrapped in foil, this meaty tasting seasoning and broth is the basis for dozens of recipes handed down through the generations, many of which are included in each box.
