Conceived by the Chattanooga Bakery in the early 1900's, the MoonPie was developed for the local miners who wanted a snack that fit their lunch pails - something solid and filling. About as "big as the moon", they asked. By the late 1950's the MoonPie had become the signature item of the Chattanooga Bakery and remains so today. If you haven't tried this southern favorite, you're in for a real treat!
