You’ve told us you enjoy the clean, simple graphics of our website - no explosive advertising banners, no annoying diversions to other sites – and we have no intention of changing that. But behind the scenes….

Our goal for this new year is for you to enjoy the ordering/delivery portion of your shopping experience as much as you enjoy our products. Our new warehouse, located in Virginia Beach, VA, is fully operational and ready for the many “new” old favorites we’ll be bringing your way this year. Shipping/tracking information will be available to you as soon as your package leaves our warehouse – automatically transmitted to you via e-mail.

The best part though, may be our new products. What other “hometown favorites” can we possibly have come up with now? Planter’s Peanut Bars, Now and Later candies, Sweet Potato Pancake Mix, Nehi Soda, Rainbow Coconut Bar – have we rung any bells yet? Or how about our new Home/Health/Beauty aisle: Pine Bros. Cough Drops, Cinnamon Toothpicks, Brylcreem?

Curious about what everyone else is looking for? For the first time, we will be adding our “things to find” list to our website. Hundreds of products we are currently researching, all based on your requests. Some of these will make their way to our store aisles for your shopping pleasure; others will soon be relegated to our “Boy, they were good” list. Can you help us find some of these favorites?

Grab your Hot Apple Cider (beverage aisle) and your Kraft Chocolate Caramels (candy aisle) and join us for a new look at your “hometown favorites” – the kid in you is waiting!

What are our most requested items and why can’t we find them?

Beeman’s, Black Jack and Clove Gums – Produced every few years by Warner-Lambert; lastly in ’99. No set timetable so we have to grab them when they’re again produced. Check our candy aisle periodically for this one.

Horlick’s Malted Milk Tablets – We’ve heard all your stories about this product and would love to get it for you. Currently available only in Europe. We’re working on securing here, but doesn’t look promising.

Delaware Punch – Soft drink distribution is kind of tricky. Primarily available in the Louisiana area, we’re searching for a kind bottler who will ship us a batch. Anyone out there?

Fizzies – We know you saw them on the Food Network, but right now they’re out of production due to manufacturing difficulties. As soon as they’re back in production, they’re ours.

Candy Lipstick – The foil kind, not the hard version on the market now. No leads on this one but we’re not done yet. We’ll either confirm its demise or add to inventory. Stay tuned….
