Who can pick up a roll of Certs without hearing, "Two, two, two mints in one"? Introduced in 1956, Certs Classic Mints advertising centered around a discussion as to whether Certs was a breath mint or a candy mint. The tag line was so engrained in our Baby Boomer brains that Saturday Night Live went on to use the familiar refrain in its sendoff of "Shimmer" - "It's a floor wax! It's a dessert topping! It's two, two two products in one!" Still cracks us up.
