When a country swain went courting his rural sweetheart, he often carried in his pocket an unobtrusive little envelope of Sen-Sen. When his younger brother indulged in smoking behind the barn, he too, had use for the exotic little pellets. The original 19th century formula, manufactured on the same 1800's production equipment, is still available today.

I remember these VERY well! Little tiny squares of licorice flavor bursting in your mouth. Everyone used them! Easily hid from sight it was not considered disrespectful to secret one of these between your cheek and gum to allow it to slowly melt and sweeten your breath.
