Clark's Teaberry Gum is forever tied in our heads to the summer of 1964 - Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass were all over the radio with their recording of "The Mexican Shuffle", renamed "The Teaberry Shuffle" by the Clark Gum Company and accompanying their frequent Teaberry Gum TV ads. The commercials depicted every day people breaking into the the Teaberry Shuffle every time they chewed a piece of sweet Teaberry gum. Although no Eastern Teaberries were harmed in the making of Teaberry Gum, the gum retains the slightly wintergreen, mild taste of this berry.
Teaberry gum has been in product for over one hundred years; the package size, shape and coloring have singlemindedly not changed all that much. The simple pink package and gum just sings nostalgia!
